Was that the Breitling Heritage Model B01, Model B20, Model '57, Model '57 Limited Edition, or
the Model '57 Limited Edition II ? It'd be nice to know, since prices range from $6,150 for the stock '57
to $27,900 for the B20.
And with Omega you have the Seamaster Automatic, Seamaster Aqua Terra, Seamaster Planet Ocean and the Seamaster Diver. Those prices range from a saner $3,800 to $5,900.
So which models are you talking about?
999 out of 1000 of us won't see any difference in craftsmanship between the two brands, so they're both pretty sturdy watches. If you're a watch snob, Breitling tends to start out with Base ETA movements while Omega uses their own manufacture movements.
Personally, I'd consider which one (among my final choices) is (first) the most aesthetically pleasing to me, plus which is the most affordable, plus which has the most Superluminova luminescent paint applied to the dial.
As for bracelets, they can be a tricky issue, but I refuse to worry about it. Does the company put too much valuation in its bracelet? You have a whole slew of aftermarket bands to choose from, so I wouldn't anguish over that. When I was shopping for my Citizen A-T Skyhawk, I chose the model with the imitation rubber strap, because it was easy to swap out, and that model was over $150 CHEAPER than the very same model but with the folding clasp bracelet!
So, the bottom line is, I don't think it matters what I'd choose because I'm not paying for it! YOU'RE the on who has to wear it...which one do YOU think would look better on YOUR wrist???
