The post is on TZ. My question is: do you feel the black dial Seamaster Bond is a nice edition or takes away from the original blue dial Bond? Personally, I like it but if I were buying I would be torn between the two. Do you have a preference?

Torn Between Two Lovers Mr Haakon?
:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

We posted here too pal. Indeed before it was revealed as being an official release on TZ. That said, I prefer the black, the polished lacquered dial. One of the aspects of the blue I wasn't too wild about was the iridescent dial which could look grey on occasion. I like the blue as it is but not the occasional greyish hue. I actually also prefer sword hands .....

Have a nice day pal :001_smile:

The lacquered dial is long overdue, IMO. The skeleton hands have never seemed right though. A dive watch needs to be easily readable and the skeletons do not come close to cutting the mustard. That being said, I've always liked the Bond SMP just not as a true diver.

Mary Macgregor did a popular version of that song which got some radio play a few years ago.

Although at first I felt a sense that Omega was walking away from it's iconic blue Bond color, I like the black too. I guess this implies I have to save to buy another Seamaster.

WELL DONE MR HAAKON :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

BUT

how did you know that?

You're far too young to remember songs like this :D:D:D

I guess quite a few will be looking out for this watch too.

Be well now pal :001_smile:

I'm not a big fan of the Bond watch in general,but the blue would be my preference,the black reminds me of the most copied diver.I'm always going to be partial to the 2254.50 look of the black dial,sword hands and large markers,that's all there is to it:001_wub:

This model doesn't make sense when you have the 2254.50.

In typical watch company fashion, they're diluting their lineup with too many models that are too close to one another.

This is a Frankenstein model that needs to be brought back to the cemetery.

I'll take a 45mm Planet Ocean or a 2254.50.
