No, it was new, the photo of the back came out bad, there is no dirt on it, the rest is dust from dry skin from wearing it the last 8 hours. It had a bracelet length made for a gorilla wrist, had to remove 5 links. It was cheap and I just wanted a decent looking watch to use while working without having to worry about scratching or breaking it. My other two wrist watches I wear are a Tag and Seiko Solar. I have some older ones, a Pulsar from the early '80s, my dad's old Seiko Weekdater which needs a serious overhaul, a cheapie watch given away by the Exxon Bayway Refinery in Linden, NJ with a tiger running around as the seconds hand. I had to remove all of the plastic protection from the band and the plastic crown spacer.
