Online vs Brick & Mortar store - that's a whole thread unto it's self (which has been done many a time here and elsewhere).
Simple answer is do you value price above 'security'? That is, are you sure if anything goes wrong, the online purchase will have the after sales service and support usually offered by the B&M dealer? It's when things go wrong that the money saved buying online may not seems so worthwhile. However MANY people have purchased online without any problems, period. It's a gamble and one that you have to be happy with before pulling the trigger. No one can really decide for you.

I always like to offer the local shop the opportunity to meet my need. It's always gonna be on-line for me however coz' Hamilton isn't sold here in Aus.

a relationship with your local dealer is also something that will help as you expand your interest in watches.
