Price per value is the formula I use...Also the intrinsic concept of style..meaning does the watch grab your fancy. So from your enthusiastic post I would guesst his watch is for you

I have one of the original 2824 Swiss movt Binnacles that Fred sold. It's like number 35 of 1000. I have had it for at least 8 or 9 years and never a problem.

I dont not know that thanks. is that all Miyota movements or just certain ones.

If you search "Miyota stutter" there are several threads discussing it.

To be clear, it's not necessarily a problem, just that it would drive ME crazy.

The stutter is more of a design flaw in the movement rather than a shortcoming of any given manufacturer. This article talks about it when it was a popular Invicta problem:
