There seems to be a glitch in the pic attaching part of the forum. Until they fix it, the only other way to post pics is to use a third party hosting site, like Flickr or Photobucket etc. Otherwise we will have to wait for the Tech staff to fix the glitch. Sorry.....

Most of them used the Hamilton 505 (or variation of) electronic movement and may also be marked Standard Time Corp as well as the odd one with an ESA 9150 electronic but, in any event, they usually take a 344 battery.

Well Mikey was right. I got the watch this week and it still had the original battery in it which was a varta 509. This is an old number that cross references to an Everready 343 which is a no longer available mercury 1,35v. The modern replacement is the 344 silver oxide 1.55v.
