OK, so I finally bought my first automatic- Seiko SNK613. This morning I awoke to a stopped watch. Over the New Years weekend I wore my dress watch most of the time. Now I am afraid to put the automatic down for fear it will be stopped again.

Is there a cure short of a winder?

Is there a decent winder for < $50?

You probably didn't wind it enough through the day. Just shake it (not violently like in finding nemo) but enough to wind it before bed. You don't need a winder :)

I have several auto's and do not own a winder. I usually wear mine a week at a time and switch. It's not a big deal for me to gently shake them for 2 mins, and set the date and time. If you don't want to do that, you can get a winder to get it going until you wear it again. You can get a winder for under 50, but most of the time you get what you pay for. :001_unsure: We have an entire forum devoted to winders. Check it out if you already haven't :thumbup1:
