I have the opportunity to buy a NOS Duchess bracelet for a Bulova Woody. Asking around $190 USD including postage to Australia. What do you guys think?
And also are all Woody's the same lug width? He says the bracelet is 17.5mm. Heres my Woody.

The seller is quite reputable. A bracelet for an Accutron "Woody" almost never comes up for sale, so you pay what the market comands. However, if you notice this bracelet is stainless and gold with the rosewood inlays. If this is not a concern I think the bracelet would greatly improve the looks and value of your "Woody". A couple of pictures of my watch with an original Duchess bracelet.

I believe I bought a band from him last year although not one that expensive or rare. As you probably already know, most Men's Accutron cases don't actually have an 18mm lug width but 17.5mm. I have that band on a GMT but the inserts on my band are vinyl not wood. AFAIK, it came that way on my model. It does, indeed, make the watch!

Thanks Oliverb, are all the bracelet inserts vinyl? Or just some?

I have always assumed the inserts were wood, but after close examination I am 75% certain the inserts are vinal. They simply do not have the depth of inclusions the wood bezel has. Can't find my loupe at the moment, but would bet the inserts are 'man made material'.

They made that band with vinyl, wood, and gold-fill insert. The wood is GP, the vinyl I'm not sure, and the gold insert is SS. They are all mesh. The one listed looks vinyl but I'd ask the seller. The stretch band posted above, it just painted, I have the same one. It came SS and GP with brown and black vinyl paint I believe. Every once and a while you'll see an NOS woodie dutchess bracelet.

I bought a large coffin link band from him. He must not have known what he had because he had it listed for $99 buy it now. I was the first one to view the auction and jumped right on it. He never listed one for that price again LOL

I think it looks pretty good

Errrrrrrr....the mesh is silver. Wrong colour. I saw this on fleabay too and got excited, until I saw the colouring. I need one. Mine has broken links in important areas.

But it would look silly in silver. IMHO
Yes it is but this is what Bulova put on the gold color cases. I have an ad of my GP 218 GMT/Astro Mark II showing it with that band.

Maybe on the Astro, but the original band on the Woody is gold plated. FWIW I've never seen a Woody Duchess band with wood inserts. Mine has inserts of the same vinyl/plastic wood grain material the watch bezel insert is made from.
