Anybody have info on this old Omega Century manual powered watched

I was given this watch by my father who has had it for a number of years; *(it actually is a manual crank one)*. I was wondering if anybody could have an approximate date, worth of this watch, and any other information you may have. Also are these watches water proof/resistant in anyway? Any and all information would be very helpful, even materials it is constructed by does wonders. Please do not comment on its condition, it is a very used watch. Yes, it still runs like a dream

It's probably from the 50's or early 60's, and a peek inside would tell us the year of manufacture by the serial number on the movement. Looks like the dial was refinished at some point in it's life.
