I'd have to say that Tudor avoids the hassle and expense of producing certified chronometers. That includes the expense of having 800,000 movements per annum officially certified as well as the expense of manufacturing the wee beasties.
And Rolex is very much an assembly line watch! According to both Wikipedia and the watch publication EUROPA STAR, Rolex pumps out over one million watches annually .
