How's everybody doing, I'm new here and I'm about to join the Omega club my only problem is deciding which model, my choices have been narrowed down to a PO 2200.50.00 or a SM 2225.80.00 c'mon fellas help me with this.....pics would be great wink;)wink........LOL ......I know it comes down to personel prefrence and that they're both diffrent sizes.........i'm kinda leaning towards the PO based on size and the co-axial movement with its 10yr. maintenece intervals, but the blue dial of the SM with the classic wave pattern just make this decision a bit more difficult thanks in advance for any pics, review links or any other words of advice......and thankyou very much Houston for the PM:thumbup1:

Hello Mr Pablo and a very warm welcome to WTF.

All I can say about your dilemma is that you will not be dissapointed with either purchase and ownership. You are guaranteed top quality build and finish on both. They are also both aesthetically pleasing and yet rugged utilitarian tools at the same time.

These two watches you mention are both well regarded here in OmegaLand.

My only suggestion is that you should buy the PO now, as you stated a slight preference for it, and then buy the SMP chrono at a later date.

Or alternativley you could look at the 2nd hand market for both and get two for the price of one, almost. These watches are so well built that buying one within their transferable warranty period (3 and 2 years, respectively) would leave you no issues to worry about. Except which one to wear, of course.

Good luck with the hunt and please do keep us informed on how it all goes.

Greetings again Mr Pablo

Heap big man from " Oop North " speak plenty truth. :thumbup1:

They are both everlasting pieces. Careful sourcing as described can almost get you the two for the price of the PO new and undiscounted. IMHO these are two watches Omega should keep in their lineup for quite sometime to come.

All my best

Hey Mr Inked

Hope you're well my friend.

Try bracketing that shot at different angles to get the correct lighting intensity. Then you could slightly tweak the color balance on your camera's or computer's image software

and

Get it in for the 17th for The OMEGALand Photo Contest :thumbup1:

Have a good evening pal

Hi

Hello Mr Pablo:thumbup1:
I would maybe get the 2225.80 first. it currently does not have the co axial movement and is therefore a great price. If it changes you will be paying a similar price to the PO chrono.
The PO's will be around forever (all co ax) so there is no worries about not getting one - even if it has to wait a while to get on your wrist.

Good luck!
