An Honest TV watch Vendor

I happened to catch a few minutes of a networks show on a new watch line, 32 Degrees, last evening. I have never heard of this brand but I doubt many have heard of many watch companies unless you are a WIS.

At any rate, the owner came out and flatly stated he uses Seagull works. He then went on to describe the various grades in Chinese watches, going from B - AAA, with the latter being the best. He also talked about the Chinese ebache movements made for Swiss companies. As the Swiss companies either provide the parts or assemble parts of them, they get to meet the Swiss Made standard.

I have to respect a vendor who comes right out and states " I use these parts" or " they are made in ....." and stands behind his product. No games about " best factories", or "best products". He even has some watches for $179.00 with 5 piece cases. Now why can he sell them for that price and companies like Renato are selling them for 3 times or more? His cases looked well made also.

I would not own one myself but I had my daughter purchase 10 of them as gifts for my staff. Perhaps they might be on time now. My point is, what a difference from the norm on TV networks.:thumbup1:

Good for him! There's so much bunk'em on TV - and elsewhere in the watch biz - such honestly is refreshing.
Wish it was the norm!
I'm still looking for those Indonesian factories...
Can you mention the brand?

It's 32 Degrees (or the degree symbol, which I can't find on my keyboard). Koi's right. I heard the whole thing last night, too. And they were VERY nice looking watches.
I watched the presentation also, and my feelings echo those of Koimaster. John House was the fellow's name from 32 Degrees, and his enthusiasm, knowledge and candor was very refreshing, and not over the top in any way. It was one of the better "shows" because of it IMO. I felt like he was presenting, not selling.

Did I buy one? No, but some of the pieces were very nicely executed at the price points offered.
32 degrees HOT? COLD? Will let you know

I ordered two different models. They are scheduled to arrive by 1/4 and I will let you know then whether the F&F and quality are as good as advertised. FYI I ordered the Apogee Auto green/gold($150) and the Reflex auto rose($180). Both are sold out. I also was able to use a $50 SNBC coupon so total was only $280.

I've watched John House on another shop Tv watch show and he contuines to come across honest and I believe with good product's with an honest value. Where I've seen another who sell's watches for an expediently higher price that are assembled in china as well as china movement's. As a matter of fact Ari is that watch company. Now I'm just a simple watch collecter, who bought a watch from Ari "afraid to spell the whole name" and wasn't tell after 3 months that I got to looking at a watch I bought from John that I notice this other company was or had sold me a watch with the same movement for over 2 time's the price and not near the craftsmanship that John has to offer and I'll buy from John in the future.... John House is great on the other channel he has disassembled several watches and has gone into great detail on the manifacturing of these watches I hope that ShopNbc allow's him to contuine this practice......I can't help it Aribocs

If this was only a true chronograph and not a multi-function.

I think that eventually the Chinese are bound to produce good quality pieces ...probably they are already but , they are facing years of Public Relations mending and a good internal house cleaning to move forward :)

I've avoided multifunction watches like the plague.

A group of friends gave me the one I'm wearing today and I must say that I'm growing very fond of it.

One of the things I like about it, though, is the fact that it is not a chronograph lookalike, at least, I don't think it is.
