OK - Let's get this started again!!!

Hey guys,

After seeing some of the great plane pictures in cinq's Bigger Truck thread, I though hey - why not a super-thread dedicated to the products Breitling is know for - Aeronautics. After all - it is the instrument for the professionals!

So, lets see your pictures of all things that fly! My 2 favorites:

The F-14:

Top speed: 1.88 Mach
Cruise: .72 Mach
Max weaponry: 13,000 lbs
Ceiling: 53,000 + feet

And the f-18:

Details (for the 18E Super Hornet):
Max Speed: 1.8 Mach
Cruise Speed: 1.0 Mach
Max Weaponry: 17,750 lbs
Ceiling: 45,000 ft.

And I gotta throw a mention to this one, the F-22 Raptor. Assembled right here in Atlanta....

Max Speed: 1.8 Mach
Cruise Speed: 1.5 Mach (super-cruise)
Max Weaponry: unknown
Ceiling: classified
OK, let see yours! :p :p

One of my desktops, cant find the original picture right now.

Closest civilian plane to the B-58 Hustler, one of my all time faves.
Have a Pic of one I took at Malmstrom AFB in Montana if I can find it.

Somebody told me to post my sons plane here too so here it is:

Lego plane, place for 1 pilot, 2 passengers and a small cargo compartment:

(see the Navitimer on bracelet on the pilot?? ;))

And a wrist shot of my B-1 with the plane in the background:

By the way, some great pictures here in this thread!

Kind regards,

Cinq

Here are some pics I shot at the "militaire luchtvaart museum" http://www.militaireluchtvaartmuseum.nl/:

The museum is a nice place, there are some cockpits where you can check how things work:

The closest my Navitimer has been to an aeroplane:

We visited the Museum with more than 100 members from the Dutch Volvo Forum. My V50 is the last in the line:

And now some plane pics, that's what this thread was made for!

F15A:

Some other shots:

Missing Man monument:

The monument really touched me, more than I would have expected.

Kind regards,

Cinq

Hey Scott

I agree with ya Bud. The Raptor is a dandy-looking aircraft with very clean lines.

Y'all have a nice day now :)

Love those Black Hawk pictures. Spent a lot of time in Hueys and I always wanted to go up in one.

Scott-

Here is that picture of the Concorde. Better later than never.

Found it!

B-58 Hustler, Flightline, Chanute AFB, August 1964

Loved to watch them land. Concord had a similar look, like a big bug.

Too bad the B58 had a bad habit of flipping end over end at supersonic speeds.

Still one of my all time favorites.

You should all make a pilgrimage out to the USAF Museum here in Dayton, Ohio. Or as its called these days, THe National Museum of the United States Air Force. You could come in for the Dayton Air Show, go to the museum and we all could have a little watch/plane GTG in the birthplace of both avaition and WTF! :T I'm sure JBH could get some good stuff together.

Here's a pic from one of the Thunderbirds Pilots wearing his B-1 (or is that an Emergency?), taken at the Dayton Air Show.
