Ball watches in generally seems to be pretty accurate right out of the box, even the non-COSC models. Many of them are performing within COSC specs. :thumbup: My EMII Classic is doing +5 secs/day (worse case on winder) and when worn for 9 hrs/day, its doing +2 secs/day on average.

Couldn't agree more. My Moonphase is dead on out of the box and is dead on since DST. My wife's Trainmaster runs at about -3 a week, and my NT which arrived fast, was easily regulated and achieves +2 on the wrist daily.

I remember asking Jeremy about this in the 'old' WTF, and if I recall, he stated that the watches (non-COSC) are -10/+10 a day. Anything outside of that range would be considered for warranty repair as for not meeting Ball's specifications. When he makes the hyperjump over, we can ask him to verify.

The most accurate Ball I have is an Engineer Master II Chrono, serial 864/999. It's less than 1 sec per day (fast). My Mad Cow and Engineer Master II GMT II both are 3 to 4 secs/day fast. I am impressed. I wear the cow everyday at all times, even in the sauna....it's great for showing how many minutes I stay in the heat AND I need not worry about the extreme temperatures - its accuracy remains at 3-4 secs/day.

I am very impressed at the accuracy Ball delivers across the board as I am a bit of an accuracy nut; then again, my grandfather was a watchmaker.
Probably not a great idea to wear the watch in the sauna, or even the bath or shower. Even though the watch is waterproof, the steam and heat can accelerate the wear of the gaskets.

Oliver, u r right about the EMII Chronometer LE. Mine is performing similar to yours and at times, can even be in sync with atomic clock. Mine's 188/999. :biggrin: Looks like for those venturing from quartz watches to automatics, Ball watches will be yr ideal choice!

The post regarding Jeremy is correct. But the Balls, from the Fireman on up have all shown that with regulation, they can run within chronometer specs.
Wearing my Anonimo as I type this, as it is demanding wrist time this weekend.
Strange how some like to take shots at Ball, seemingly for no reason at all. How many co's, including those as heralded as UN and GP have acquired dormant names?
And how many of those co's get to operate under the blessing of the original family? I am betting not too many. I posted a bit in TZ this week as I saw some odd Ball posts and felt a need to show off the brand.
I was hesitant to buy a Ball at first...as a kid, I remember seeing the Ball pocketwatches in my grandfather's shop when the folks that had them would bring them in for "the yearly overhaul," and I would just stare. As a kid I loved the Ball's and the Hamilitons, and just wasn't sure the new Ball would be like I remembered it.
After some research, I got "on the ball" an I think my grandfather would approve of what Jeff Hess is doing with the Ball of today. From customer service, accuracy, to updating the legibility to include Night Legibility, and featuring some interesting options, from Monopusseurs(sp) to the Mad Cow, there is something for everyone.
Alright, I'm rambling. Enjoy that Fireman Bullosa. It is on the Mrs. hit list for a 32mm.

Ball accuracy
My first Ball was the Inspector. It's a gift from my wife who got it from a company party lottery (she did not like it because she said it was ugly - I agree
). I was impressed with its quality, weight and accuracy, and so I bought another one, then another one, and I now have 4 Balls. All of them exceeds my expectations. I am on the waiting list for a Cannonball and have introduced my friends who subsequently bought the Diver TMT (black DLC coating) and the Cleveland. So far, all the Balls are more accurate than my other luxury watches (Rolexes, Omegas, Porsche Design, Panerai etc.). The only watches more accurate than the Balls are the quartz Seikos, Casios and Citizens.
