Hello everyone - I know I've been really quiet for awhile, but I'm excited to announce...

A new chapter for RedSea
It has been over two years now since Troy and I started this amazing adventure and I couldn’t be more pleased with how things have come together. Over the past six months we’ve been talking a lot about our plans for the future and after some major life changes (all good things), Troy has decided to sell his portion of the company to me. While I’m excited about a new chapter for RedSea, I am really going to miss working with Troy – he has been an absolutely incredible partner. I’d like to thank Troy and wish him all the best!

So what’s in store for RedSea?
A continued focus on providing top notch customer service, more engagement in the watch community, more frequent updates, participating in random contests and giveaways, and exciting new products. Including…

Special Offer
To celebrate the re-grand opening of RedSea and the sellout of the stainless steel Holystone model, I’m excited to announce RedSea’s first Special Offer since pre-orders! Any purchase of remaining stock will receive a free custom NATO black/red strap along with free shipping anywhere in the US. This offer will run through the end of December – or until supplies last. Check out the new leather strap package option below, too.

Take advantage of this special offer and you will also be entered into a drawing to win a FREE iPad Mini. That’s right, I’m giving away an iPad Mini!

Please email me for more details and ensure you get yours before they’re gone!

Leather Straps
I’m officially opening up the leather straps for sale – I know, I know…this is LONG overdue! These straps are incredible – they’re handmade by an amazing guy here locally and are 100% custom for RedSea. I have been testing one out for six months now and I absolutely LOVE it.

RedSea Watch / Leather Strap Bundle
This is a new package offering that replaces the bracelet with one of the new leather straps, along with both NATO straps and the rubber strap. Check out the PVD version with the black leather and PVD buckle combo – wow!

Please email me for details – I have a limited quantity available to ship today.

Thank you
I’d like to thank everyone for all of the continued support. I’m so excited for what RedSea has in store and I hope you continue with me on the journey!

Josh

Get a good look. I can't find any evidence that they're still active.
Their website domain is for sale, and a question to them on their Facebook page ("Are you guys still in business?")
remains unanswered after four months.

Since you're here and not using the General Forum, I'll take that as 2 questions!

#1- (''Here'', in this particular forum), it seems Red Sea went belly-up in 2012 or 2013. No one seems to know why. 'Nuff said.

#2- (Here @ W.T.F.), I'm not sure what your definition of a shutdown is.
(a) If it's fora you don't see anymore, we went through a period of pruning the places that no longer had any traffic. I had suggested removing the RedSea, Android, and Stolas forums as well, but that's still up in the air and not a high enough priority to actively pursue at this time.
(b) If it's super-slow fora you're talking about, well, that's just the way it goes. Let's say The German Watch Forum only has 2 participants, and one post a month. I can't MAKE people get interested in German Watches. I can't force members to participate. I can't do a mailing to every watch collector out there, asking them to come here and make OUR forum(s) their preferred ones. I can't invent or create collectors who love specifically German watches.
It's like any hobby site. IF THEY NEED US, THEY WILL GOOGLE. They will come. And we will be ready for all of them.
(c) Is there a definition I missed?

~~~Outside of that, the answer is "I don't know!"~~~
