Bought the 5170G two weeks ago...............just loving it!!!

I had this watch in my hands (albeit in the sealed PP package) on Saturday. It was offered to me at a fairly small discount considering it is so new. It's gorgeous but a bit too expensive at the moment for me. I'm jealous.

Interesting. Beautiful watch. I was offered by my AD with a discount already! Surprised about the offer, although it may be related to the soft demand of the 5170J in the market. I don't know what to think, therefore passed on the watch for now. There will be another one if I so desire in the future (with a bigger discount if it is as soft as the 5170J)

It is a nice watch featuring PP's own movement. I have seen the watch at several ADs already and I don't know if they were available on display due to the soft demand.

It's not just a hobby anymore, at this price point. It used to be that I can buy a 5070 and feel so happy that I bought one, I was giddy.

Nowadays, with the 5170, I am worried whether if I am causing financial harm to my family. Hence, I have to think very hard and make sure that I truly like the piece prior to pulling the trigger. How I wish the days when I didn't have to feel this way. Hence, one can see them available in many AD's. I already had two offers already (one with discount on the initial phone call), and a third AD (whom I have worked with for many years) wasn't that excited when I asked him about the 5170G based on the softness of the 5170J. :crying:
