I have a 10 year old Citizen ss chrono w/ a dive bezel that just stopped working, I thought it was a battery, so I gave it to my local jeweler, and he said water must have got into it and messed up the movement and it would be $360.00 to fix it. The watch was about $200.00 10 years ago, but it does has sentimental value, I'm stumped! Opinions?

Tough call. Gotta think most of that is labor cost. Guess it depends on how sentimental it is to you. Is it that important that it is running? Would you wear it if it works? I would shop around for estimates on the repair. Good luck.

I agree, Mr Jpl..

I'd get a second and a third opinion.

have you contacted Coserve about the repair? I think they would be able to work on it..:confused1: I just had the entire movement replaced in one of my old Seiko quartz and it was $65 for the entire deal, now my guy might be cheap but I think the movement was $20 to $30..

second opinion, they might have been sending it out and tacking on extra for the store, you get hit twice that way.. good luck, I'm sentimental too:thumbup1:
