I have a 214 RR approved watch in good running condition but the dial is a little dingy, not flaking or deteriorating, is there a way (a cleaning solution) to gently and carefully, clean the dial while it is still on the movement, without removing any of the lettering?,,,

Some people use 'Rodico' to clean dials, I've used a diluted mixture of lemon juice and warm water on a Q-tip to do it and I'm sure someone will have a different method. All i can say is to test it first before attempting a full clean its nearly always better to remove the dial from the watch movement first.
