1967 Accutron Spaceview needs service

I received from my father a Bulova Accutron Spaceview, back in 1967 when I was 13 years old. I attached some photos

My Spaceview has been running all of this 56 years, and sometimes moved very fast and sometimes, very slow. Last year I send to service, and after 250 USD it return in worse condition. Now it can loose/gain 20 minutes a day.

I need a recommendation of a good service to send it.

Thanks

We have at least two members here in this group who are above average Accutron repair specialists

Rob B aka The Accutron Watch Page

Chris Radek aka The Time Guy

Both come highly recommended!

Looks like he specializes in mechanical watches. I saw nothing on their website regarding Accutrons or electronic watches.

I’m in CA and I’m not familiar with said tech. I’d love to hear more about him

I've sent one watch for restoration, and upon return of that, sent two more. He's great at keeping you updated up on receiving the items, and how the restoration is going. Told me price of the job, sent first watch back completely restored, with a new strap. I'd trust his services enough that I sent my Heuer Autavia to be looked over. Pic attached is first watch sent, it was missing the crown, and second hand, strap was old and cracked.

Your 214 should go to Rob B in Thailand. Mine did and I am totally pleased with the work he did.

These are niche watches, not every watchmaker can (or should) work on them, even if they are very, very good with mechanical watches. There are some specialized tools and instruments plus they need a 30x microscope to check the pawls, so this is not a job for everyone.

Rob B is your answer.

Best Regards,

Mike/Florida
