The 1928 Illinois Beau Brummel...
First of all, there are several "Beau" Illinois:
Beau Royal and
Beau Monde/Beau Geste (Thanks Rick!)
I will get into them one Spotlight at a time...
Fred Friedberg simplifies this by stating:
"Regardless of the Bezel Engraving (Beau Brummel/Royal)
If the watch has 17, 19, or 21 jewels (sub 6 or 9)
Then is was called a Beau Brummel.
A 15 Jeweled movement... A Beau Royal."
Here are 3 examples of the Beau Brummel...
All of them have the very cool
"Southwestern Indian Motif" Bezel
They also came in a "Rope-like pattern"
and Plain Bezel Variations
Here is a

2 Tone Y/W Gold filled
The White gold filled has a rarely seen custom dial "Supreme"

They are subject to case wear @ edges, look carefully before buying.
They are out there, pick one carefully, don't rush.
They look very cool on the wrist, especially with this Bezel!
With the Enamel filled in...WOW!
