    @ bullosa:

I see what you mean. I completely missed that when reviewing your pictures. I really like the look of this Seiko.

    Thanks,

It looks much better on a black leather strap than the bracelet, IMO.

Any idea how much this is going for (just a conversion of yen to usd if possible)
    Thanks.
It's going for $399 at one of my fav Japan Only site. BTW the bracelet is is not SS, it's titanium with scratch resistant treatment.

This is a great looking watch, and it sounds like a pretty good value too. I'm kind of concerned about the size though. I have pretty small wrists (about 5 3/4 inches around), so I don't want something huge that will make them look even smaller. Normally I'd try it on at the store, but Japan is a little far away. :-)

I've got a Tissot PR50 Automatic (T34.1.483.52) that I've been happy with for about a year and a half. I guess I'm looking for something sleek and durable with GMT. Hopefully this fits the bill.

    What do you guys think?

    Hi Photoguy,

It's is a personal preference but I think the size is versatile to accomodate a broad range of wrist sizes. Vandice who posts here owns one and he has small wrists too. This is one of my favorite and I have been looking at it again the last couple of days.

    Cheers!

5.75" is probably a little too small for this watch, but it really depends on personal taste, body size and where you wear the watch (e.g. further away from the wrist).

Try one of the older SLT0xx models. Those are 37-38mm but no sapphire. There could have been a few Ti models.

One of my favorite watches. I think it both classy to be worn in the office and sporty to be worn on weekends.

    Hello Bender,

Welcome and thx for sharing...I feel my resistance to spending on a new watch weakening now. :D

    Thanks Vandice.

The titanium isn't that important to me, though I'm sure it's nice. The sapphire would be nice, as it's been great on my Tissot. I've heard good things about hardlex though, so that would probably be an acceptable substitute.

I usually wear my watch right up next to my hand. It sometimes slides all over the place though because my wrist actually gets a little narrower a couple inches away from my hand. If I tilt my arm up without bending my wrist back, my watch slides about 1/4 up my forearm.

I guess I'll keep looking. Here's what I found doing a search for "seiko slt 0"...

The SLT 086 is also a good looking watch, but it looks like the band can't go straight down off the face. It's also 16mm thick, which is significantly more than my Tissot (~9mm).

The SLT 071 isn't bad, but may suffer the same band issue as the 086.

The SLT 065 isn't really the style I'm looking for.

The SLT 063 looks kind of ok, but I can't find any specs on it.

The SLT 045 doesn't really do it for me either.

The SLT 005 also isn't really the style I'm looking for.

Anyway, I hope this hasn't taken this thread too far off course. Let me know if you have any more suggestions, and thanks again.
