I don't know what I could have been doing on Oct. 11 last year to have missed out on this ( I know, I'm just being a wise guy),,,
I was under the impression these were all plastic but the one picture seems to show the bottom is metal?
I have two, and they had both shrunk over time, I had to enlarge the main diameter just a bit on both of them. I've also filed them for a dummy stem, and drilled for lighting the fingers from underneath.
Doesn't everyone have a friend with a 3d printer nowadays? I have a wonderful friend who makes my movement holders. They need just the tiniest finishing on the lathe or with a file and are excellent.
I see he's got an untested 214 holder listed there. It may not have the slot for the meter hookup, but you could add it with a file if you don't want to change the model. The ones he's made for me so far are all for American sized pocket watches. I have a set of 12 16 17 18 so far.
I took a look at the 214 model using my own CAD software (Inventor)
The translation does not come out right, it shows the OD as 34 cm.. That's some watch movement lol.
I will remodel it using measurements from one of my 214 movements and try again.
I don't have an original Accutron 214 holder so cannot base it on one of those.
If I had one it would be an interesting project.
But since they are only $30 or so it's not going to be a big money spinner.
