    Default Astronaut Mark 3 ?

An innocent question - To my knowledge there was the original 214 Astronaut later followed by 218 Astronauts mark 2 and mark 4.
So, anyone know why there was no mark 3 ?

The Mark IV isn't an astronaut specifically, but a RR approved watch that uses the 2185 Astro MkII movement. But that's a good question though, I can't recall ever having seen anything called a Mk III.

Rob B - I wouldn’t want to contradict you- but my 2185 has “Astronaut Mark IV” printed on the dial :-

Apologies for the poor quality pic!
(The GMT hand is hidden by the hour hand as here in the UK we have just switched back from “British Summer Time”)!

Thanks for your input Rob, I’m sure you have seen, or had pass through your hands, just about every variant of Accutron that Bulova ever produced!
So I’m inclined to believe there never was such a thing as a Mark III.

I have an Astronaut Mark IV that has the ability to “jump” the main hour hand both forward and back in one hour increments using the upper crown whilst the smaller hand continues to show GMT.
Pic as per my post above.
