    Default Timex love

I recently had a couple Timex mentions in my life (my mother just told me her mother's Timex just stopped working, most importantly) and it has rekindled my love of certain Timex's. I am surprised there's no brand specific forums for Timex. Also googled and not found too much in the way of fan pages - one or two, but that's it.

And then when I looked around online to see if I can find a replacement for the two Timexes I lost (a red & a blue dialed Mercury), I was surprised at how much the price of vintage Timex's (Timexes? Timiii?) have gone up in the last 4-5 years. What's going on? I know I've been out of it for a few years, but what has changed?

Not much has changed but i think that some people recognize the simplicity & realistic cost of a Timex watch vs a lot of the new crap that is sold today. I have a half dozen Timex watches and wear 2 of them quite often because they are reliable and great for every day use.
