Default Just received a Citizen Eco-Drive

My wife wanted to purchase a watch for me for our 35th anniversary and asked what she should buy. I received no suggestions but did a lot of searching on the internet for something that looked really nice and a brand I was familiar with. I ended up buying a watch as a gift from her and it arrived today. It is a Citizen Chronograph Eco-Drive Blue Angels Atomic Timekeeping watch. I think it is good looking and the right size for my wrist.

Anyone have experience with this watch and anything I should be aware of regarding performance and service?

There are at least a couple of members here with one/ The dial is a little too busy for my tastes but otherwise its a nice watch.

Not THE SAME watch, but I have an A-T Skyhawk which is virtually the same watch, but without the Blue Angels branding connection (that alone saved me $150!) . God, I love this watch! And I saved another $150 by getting the model with the plastic strap instead of opting for the stainless steel bracelet. I then added a heavy Hirsch leather strap.

It's got super-accurate atomic time, it's not heavy, it looks badas$, it's solar powered, it's not ridiculously large on the wrist, it's super luminous at night, and it can be back-lit. What's not to love?
If I could only have one watch on a deserted island, THIS is the watch I'd want with me!

Hint: I own other watches as well, so I store my Skyhawk on a window sill facing West. It sits directly in the sunlight for half the day, and it faces the incoming time signals after midnight.

I have no advice except play it safe and keep the watch away from the water. It's a beautiful watch... so why would you want to tempt fate???

    LOL
You're absolutely right, and I apologize! But I was recently forced to give up Vista Home Premium and switch to Windows 10, which I REALLY REALLY hate. I'm trying to learn how to download pics from my camera's memory card to a laptop folder (without success).

This is the pic I had in an April WRUR.

No problem, I enjoy reading all the comments. I really like the watch as well. Mine came with a faux leather band. Hopefully, it will last longer than a real leather band, my body chemistry and leather don't do well together. If I have to replace it in the future I think I'll go with a silicone band. photo shows the band it came with.Citizen.jpg
