Default Help my 666 Bezel required

    Hi All,
Hope you are all keeping well. I thought I'd send out my annual reminder in that I am still seeking a Bezel for my lovely 666 Deepsea. Had the watch for sometime but sadly no Bezel. The watch sits in its box all sad waiting for that special moment. So if you have one tucked away, know of one or see one advertised, then I'd love to know. I have the bezel wire/clicker just need the Bezel. Thanks and keep safe!

I have seen a few show up on ebay lately, but they don't last too long. I will be on the lookout.

Much appreciated and thank you. I have considered buying another for parts but I simply can't do it as I will want to restore and make good.
One day I hope, keeping my fingers crossed.

Which are you looking for? Coke “B” or Black “AB”?

Ideally a Coke but I wont be fussy as I really want to wear this watch

Nice watch btw, do the handsets dictate the bezel; as you see the hands on your fine example are different as is the bezel?

I'm a bit newer to all this - but I suspect Bulova took the "parts bin" approach to assembly. I've seen so many variations online of hands/dials/bezels, they can't all possibly be replacements. I have 3 Deep Sea 666s pieces in my restoration queue - all different and I can find more different variations online - also noticed the pillar plates never seem to match the caseback datecode. Maybe I just obtained bad examples, but it seems they didn't care too much about making sure all this stuff matched. Omega was very similar with their Speedmasters in the late 60s and early 70s.

Dillworth, these are popular watches. You will see plenty of swaps of movements/bezels, hands, etc on these. It is pretty common to see a movement date code not match the caseback purely because jewelers/watchmakers may not have had the requisite experience to work on them. Or for speed purposes they could just swap a dial/hands in very easily at the jeweler for warranty repair. The black solid bezel goes with dauphine hands, tuning fork seconds. The coke bezel goes with broadhead hour/seconds and red pointer hand. I have seen dauphine hands with the coke bezel, so I don't know if that was a normal variation or not.

Thanks. What about variations on the dial itself? I have 2 N0 cases, one with "Accutron" in applied letters, another with "Bulova" and "Accutron" in applied letters below it, both with broad arrow/red pointer...

Here's the odd one - crystal was irreparably damaged when I received it, so it was discarded earlier. Also noticed the 12:00 arrow on the bezel is faded to a brownish color. Case style 702-1, case signed N0, train bridge N4.
