Patek 5960p

I am a new member of this Patek Forum. I have a 5960p-001 2011 that is absolutely in pristine shape. I went to my local AD asking to trade it on and he offered me wholesale pricing I.e. 40 K for a 92 K watch. Is this watch going to appreciate the future, should I hang on to it or accept what he is offering me? I would value your opinion. Thanks

I wont pretend to be a knowledgeable person when it comes to luxury watches but i suspect that the 5960 models will be collectible at some point. Whether they increase in value though is open to question.

You could always check the luxury watch sales sites to get an idea what the watches are selling for and / or put yours up for private sale and see what interest it generates.

Have you contacted other ADs, so as to pick-and-choose from multiple offers,
or is your local AD the only one you've talked to?

No one can ever know what models will be “collectible” or not. For example look at the old Submariners with the faded Dial and markers. Those things are worth $30k plus all day and the newer subs have a better seal on the case that Rolex used to prevent that patina from happening over time. So therefore the newer model subs wont have that patina and be the next “collectible” watch, they could be however collectible because of the hype now and the difficulty people have in getting them.
