    Default New Accutron?

I've seen images of this on various sites but with very little info. Anyone know anything about this new Accutron?

Was this not released at Baselworld recently
No offence but it looks awful, what would this watch pay homage to? It looks like a really bad Photoshop image

Each to their own, Jake. If this were a new spin on a kinetic, in a 38mm-ish size, I'd happily wear it as a daily beater. The original spaceview was created to show the innovative inner workings. I'm not saying whatever this is could ever be that innovative, but if it is something interesting, I think they have done a good job in making an interesting spin on the spaceview concept. That said, I bet its huge, and possibly not that innovative.

What info do you have on it Jake?

I believe they should call this model the "train wreck", because it appears to show wheels from three trains that have somehow collided. It would take a very special track configuration to help three trains collide, just as it would take a very special understanding of the history of Accutrons to design this watch.

I am confused by the way this looks. It looks like 3 subdials that have been exposed in spaceview style. The circles look like cogs so people think its a mechanical movement. I can understand some design/style choices, but it's not my cup of tea.

Sorry, you started a thread asking for information, and I came in and talked about my feelings... Nobody wants that!

True, the thread is about information on the watch. I suppose it's a good place to at least discuss the design though right? Companies like Omega do such an amazing job with homage watches. These watches look cool and trendy, but it misses the essence of what made Accutron's unique which was the tuning fork and many other engineering marvels. The expensive alpha re-issue was and still is an awesome watch since it was a true homage piece. I'm not sure what category Citizen puts these watches, whether it is intended to be an homage or a just a modern spin on it. I much prefer the other inexpensive homage quartz to this one.

It looks to me to be proof of concept of something new, which is what the spaceview were to begin with. I'm not
Sure how the execution will bear out, but I am interested.
