No information about the movements on the non spaceview style electrostatic models...will they have tuning forks?

Based on the pricepoint of the 214 re-issue, which was $5000 and limited, I doubt they will ever again do a tuning fork re-issue. Most likely uses the precisionist movement.

Go to Hodinkee's site for a somewhat explanation of the movement:

I got a source that tells me the movement is a "sellita swiss" movement for the ones that are not the electrostatic movements.

This looks like Bulova is going to stick mechanical Sellita movements into case designs lifted from 1960/1970 Accutrons, and call them Accutrons. Lame.

Stainless Steel Alpha with a Selita movement? Anyone else confused?
I like the 0 dial RR but would much prefer a 218 movement.
Could they be quartz movements? Maybe Selita has a new movement?

Looks to me like the current crop of designers are all out of ideas... I like the turbine watch and the few sport watch re-releases but to puke out a dozen or two pretty much exact copies of those regular accutron designs that OTHER designers produced screams slacker to me. Especially with cheap mvts.

Kinda like someone sampling the hook off a vintage hit song, adding some electro beats and chants and calling it their song...
