About the OP accutron, I copied this from the WWU post... The pics there also look much better to me. But there is precious little info on this project. I like it now that I've seen a little more. That quartz coil still bugs me.

@mjollnir "the electrostatic energy is created by twin turbines that rotate as a result of human motion at incredible speeds between two electrodes affixed to the movement. The energy, stored in an accumulator, powers two motors; a world's first electrostatic motor fueling the fluid second hand and a step motor powering the hour and minute hands."

SM2, I am gonna guess that mrjones runs it to spy on us.

It is rather sketchy being so basic.

The site is run by a Canadian e-commerce company in Canada called Shopify. The website offers a free trial for those wanting to create a listing. This is definitely not the route Bulova would take to advertise or launch any new product lines. The link posted above was created on the 26th Feb 2019 and is valid for 10 years. The more I look at it the more I get The person that created the domain via Shopify has also taken the steps to remain anonymous hence the data on a WHOIS is hidden - Very suspicious

I haven't spent too much time researching this but I am very close to calling it out an early Aprils fool maybe?

    Hmm... that is odd.

Perhaps a PR company trying to test the water for Bulova on interest? Or even the journalist who first broke the 'news' trying to build a fan base?

After looking at some of the html code, it's definitely a shopify page that is poorly designed. Big companies farm out their marketing, so I wouldn't put it past a marketing team to have a page like this. If they wanted their Accutron division to have their own place in the world, a new site with the ability to directly buy the watch would be nice. The code doesn't reveal much of anything about the site or any hidden features/pages unfortunately.
