Good CLEAR photos of the movement and inside of the case back would be helpful. With Oris it kind of depends on where you bought this watch from. Many are advertised from "vendors" in India and other countries in that area that might warrant a closer look.

Thanks Mikeyt_53, awaiting it's arrival at the moment, brought from an english seller . Who stated he had had it a few years.... so will wait and add inside pic's when it gets here.
paid very little for it, so won't break my heart if it's lemon

I can remember back in the day, we'd ask questions BEFORE paying for a questionable item. That would give us time to consider pieces of advice like:

*Beware of laser-etched case backs when known genuine cases are engraved.
*Why would a genuine Swiss watch NOT say "Swiss" on the dial?
*Length of ownership does not enhance or even prove authenticity.
*If it's a genuine Swiss watch, WHY is the seller "asking very little" money for it?
But having said that, Mike is correct. We'll (hopefully) know more after we get a look at the movement. And I do hope the seller's only concern is not wanting to have it around any more, and that you lucked into discovering a sweet deal.

Comethunter....As stated I brought for the look of the watch, knowing it could be a fake,it was an auction buy and i put a silly bid in and won. maybe the seller was hoping for more. but I do agree with you, on your bullet points. But you never know I might get lucky

When i first started watch collecting at the start of this year I picked up a Seiko(fleabay India). that looking back was a real and obvious fake. by not doing simple checks and asking for advice.
I have kept the watch as a reminder of the old saying "if it sounds too good to be true ,it probably is".lol we live and learn.

All I did was give an idea of some of the thoughts that go through my mind. Nothing more.
