    Default Am I searching wrong?

I seem to have a hard time using the advanced search function. I tried finding old posts of mine but it only goes back a few posts. I did a search for "white gold" to try to find a post I made to no avail. I ended up using google's site search tool to find the post. Also, the results of the search for "white gold" pull up posts from all sorts of different years in what appears to be a random order. There isn't a way to show the newest to the oldest so you try to trudge through thousands of posts. The google custom search box just spins and didn't do anything at all for me. I am using google chrome and windows 10.

You're not the only one with that problem. It would seem that the cloud VerticalScope is using differs a little from the one we used before. I've had issues, too.
With our Advance Search, I typed in the key words MERRY CHRISTMAS and got my threads from 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2017, but 2015 and 2016 are missing! Several other recent searches have been either fruitless, or confusingly mixed up. It appears the default search may possibly be how specific and exclusive your keyword is to the search. For example: "white gold" may be too generic a request; you would have to use ''brian's white gold vacheron constantin'' (';')

I'll talk to VS and see what their IT guys have to say.

look into your public profile and search for threads opened by you.

I'm not sure if for some usergroups, the search threshold might be cut off at a certain date to prevent the server from chugging.

While they are fixing it, what I did was go to google and type this string to get specific results:

    site:watchtalkforums.info your search term here
