ReplateIt is my goto for most case repairs and replating. They are the most cost effective and do a great job.

    Hello,

Kind of new to the forum but not to watches. Does anybody know if Replateit also restores/refinishes bracelets? I need someone to restore a Kreisler Coffin link bracelet damaged clasp that came with a Spaceview B I just bought.

    Cheers,

I actually just got my 14k bullet band back from them. I had an extra that I didn't decide to get done because it needed some additional work that is in the picture for comparison. The issue is that my case is now a dull aged gold versus the shiny replated gold. I took some pictures so you can get an idea how "yellow" it is. I recommend you send your case and bracelet at the same time so you get a nice match. They did an amazing job for the price ($180) considering the time/labor and I will definitely be using them again.

I have been discussing a job with them today. I need an inscription removed from a solid gold case and a lug attached to two spaceview watches. He is not so positive he can remove the inscription and leave the serial number. To be certain, he wants to see the caseback so I will be sending off this week.

Uscjake, was it strictly cosmetic on the bracelet? I take it they didn't replace any pins or take it apart.

So I have 2 bracelets. One was in good shape and the other in bad shape. Here is a comparison of them before I sent to the replater. As you can tell the other one has issues with the links themselves. I think it could be fixed. The issue was that they are charging hourly labor so it gets pricy. The better one just needed minor laser welding and replating. The one one the top is the one I replated. Here is what they wrote in the email about it (prices in canadian dollars):

Your watch case bracelets will cost as following:

-The one in better condition will cost $245 to fill as best as possible, refinish and re-plate with 5 microns yellow gold. Each additional 5 microns will be $95.

-The second bracelet will cost $345 to fill as best as possible, refinish an replate with 5 microns yellow gold. Each additional 5 micorns will cost $95.

Please note that this bracelet is in bad shape underneath and the links are very worn on the inside. We will do the best possible.
    Shipping will be $20.

I decided to not do the 2nd bracelet and hold off.

Maybe a dumb question, but I have a 14K YGF mesh bracelet that has tarnished on the lug ends. I'm supposing I have to remove the SS hasp from the bracelet? I'm a hobbyist and don't have access to the tools I may need, but I'm thinking I can probably drive pin out of the connector if I carefully loosen the tabs first....

Also, I have a 14K YG 214 case for refinish to send, do I send the SS locking ring for the back or just keep it and send the case and back?

    Thanks!20200706_125502.jpg
