Default Nice Ebay pick on saturday night!

Was bored and searching watches on the bay. Watched this auction for 3 Bulovas. One 1970 Accutron and 2 Accuquartzs 1974 and I think 1973. Maybe I'll get lucky and at least one will work. Oh yea, I forgot to mention, $35 bid, minus a few ebay bucks and got them for a little less than $30.

Nice purchase! Interesting dial orientation on the one on the left.

Wow. One of them is an up down date Accutron. Very good deal even if it doesn’t work. Steve

Yea that one has me curious as how they got the stem in. Lol The other accuquartz is missing a stem so hoping maybe can make 1 out of 2 accuquartz's. Lol

Yea that's the one that caught my eye. I'm crossing my fingers on that one.

So I got the watches in. Both accuquartz watches are dead. The Accutron does hum but that's all. Someone really over did it with oil. Will more than likely get that one fixed.

It's possible you could still get one running out of the two accuquartzes - they might have opposite coils dead. Also, although I have only rewound 214 coils so far, I could sure do 224s too if there is demand. They are simpler since neither side has two windings in it. I resurrected a 224 of my own recently by replacing the quartz crystal. It's an amazing watch, after carefully timing it, it's keeping time to under 1 second/week. My current favorite.
