Default Angelus Rensie Chrono Identity Help

    What a awesome site.

So I bought this back in 1981, at a small antique store, on my way back to Marine Corps base in 29 Palms.
It was in a box with three other watch heads, and I wanted the Timex self winder.
I wore the Timex through the rest of my enlistment.
I was going through my safe the other day, and came upon the box.
I never really looked at the other watches, but now a little wiser and a lot older.
This watch head intrigued me, I want to get it cleaned up/restored.
This forum seems to be where newbies come for answers or no answers......
The crown turns but won't wind, face looks fair as far as I can tell because the crystal is pretty beat up, luminous paint isn't.

    Thank You.
    Any info would be appreciated.

    Hi and welcome
That is a very cool watch and fairly valuable.
You can read a bit about them here:
Angelus - Watch Wiki, The Best Watches And Watch Brands

Black dial makes it quite a bit rarer.

Surely worth having it serviced and a new crystal but do NOT touch the dial - it is perfect as is.
A very wearable watch - ENJOY

    Horologist007,
Thank you for the reply and the link.
There's not a whole lot of info on the web about the Angelus Rensie Watches.
What I do know is from reading on here.
Is there any way to figure out the age or era of her.
I refer to her in the feminine persuasion, because like a refined woman, we can’t tell the age.
