Hello,
Any info on JB Champ bracelets of the 60's early 70's would be real helpful. What I would like to know is on the end of the bands the small part that the watch pin fits though, the bracelet piece the meets the case and the #'s on the ear of the bracelet what do they really mean? Like 760-762 etc. Is this # gold plate content? And on a soild gold one like 14 to 18k would the links be close together or more of a loose linked bracelet. Thanks for any info you may have.

I'm guessing that we're talking about a # stamped into the end piece and not a patent #.
If so, the # is the model of that particular end. Differently shaped ends were produced to fit different cases while fitting the the same band.
The # doesn't relate to gold content. While the 1950s-early 1960s JB's were 1/15 12k gold-filled, 1/20 10k gold-fill and 1/40 10k RGP (rolled gold plate) were the most common finishes for "later" gold JB bands.
Some were 14k gf, and they did produce a small # of solid 14k bands.
