New arrival this morning : 1973 Tissot Tissonic. Almost brand new with its original Milanese-mesh Tissot strap. The movement is the ESA9162 tuning fork rated at 300 Hz... so sweet humming ! :001_wub:
Transistor, don't think I've said welcome to the forum yet. Welcome!
As an Accutron enthusiast and collector, you know I have to like that Tissot :001_rolleyes: I've yet to acquire an ESA variant, eye them all the time (I favor the Longines Ultronics), and yours above is very sharp. Such a great piece, enjoy.
ESA are reputed to be the most efficient tuning fork (ultimate movement created by Max Hetzel himself). The Ultronic are also very desirable, especially IMO the diving version with funky orange bezel. :001_tt1:

In point of fact one of our WTF members applied the sobriquet 'Rolls-Royce of tuning fork watches' to the ESA 9162/64. At the time he penned these words he actually did own a Rolls:001_tongue:and his description has been adopted for describing this iconic movement.
