I am looking at buying a GP 1966 in pink gold as it has a lot of value for the money at around USD9000 brand new. GP has everything I could ask for ie. Rich history & pedigree, Grand Prix awards winner, great brand reputation, high quality & finishing, reliable in house movement....Before I pull the trigger, are there any other pink gold dress watches I should consider? Thanks so much for your advice.

No!
There are gazillions of pressure fit cases out there, and they're all just fine. And besides...... it's not like you're getting a diver's watch, where a screw-back case is almost mandatory.
Just don't get it into your head that you want to look at the movement while you're sitting at your kitchen table. Some pressure-fit case backs are stubborn and almost impossible to snap back into place without professional equipment.
