I have been looking at a vintage Tissot watch on a website to add to my collection the price seems right but it says on the case it needs a key to open it does this mean I would need to find a specialist to service it? as I couldn't afford a fortune and to be honest if expensive I might be better buying a similar one of the bay for a little more or contacting them as I could always make an offer any advice would be appreciated

The seller clearly seems to not be a collector, and is not familiar with the vocabulary of our hobby. It is obviously a screwback case because of the 6 equally-spaced notches on the back. . I will bet any money in the world the seller said ''key'' because he didn't know such a thing as a ''case wrench'' existed.

If that is your only worry, then stop worrying and place your bid!.
