Default Vintage Tudor Oyster Prince Date-Day

I have a vintage Tudor watch (about 1983) which I inherited from my uncle. I have had some trouble with it and have had it fully overhauled, at considerale cost. The overhaul was done by an authorized Rolex Dealer but he was unable to obtain any new parts. He was not able to get it to keep time as it should so he refunded my money. He said that it would still work, but not be able to keep time, so I will wear it for a while to see just how it will perform. The band is also very stretched.
Does any one have any information about it or any recomendations?

Send it to the Rolex Service Center.

They'll fix it. Not cheap, but worth it.

I agree. You can send it to Dallas or New York City. I understand the Beverly Hills Center shut down but I have not verified that so a call there migh be worth while.

    Good luck, =) maverick

Bev Hills is gone.....Dallas Rolex serv. ctr. or NYC. If you're on West Coast of USA..the Rolex serv. ctr.in San Francisco, Ca. is independent, works on old Rolexes/Tudors...I've used them, they are terrific....check them out!

Is the center in San Francisco independent or some how affiliated with Rolex, USA? I have never understood their relationship. =) maverick

I go to the NYC one all the time... like a doctors office. You bring in the sick patient and wait in the lounge. They call you up to the counter and they put a felt board down... you lay out the watch and they ask you what is the problem... they take the watch, you get slip and they call you when the watch is done. If the problem is minor, you wait... if longer, they call you. It really is a very cool place and they do the best work! NOT CHEAP!!!!
