Hey guys,
Here are 2 Longines that I've recently inherited from my father. There are simple designs.
I don't know much about them, and have to research more on them, but if anyone has any information on them, please let me know.
Thanks!

So, i popped the first rectangular gold Longines open this morning, and this is what I found:

It looks to me like the caseback has:
Longines
CHT 1939H M0152
Japan

And the movement has:
Longines
Nine 9 Jewels
Swiss
V8
M901 3345
L 152 4

I'm not really sure how to put a reference number together with that, or how to find anything on it, but it's a start.
Anyone know of a Longines Archive to search through?

Not even sure how to open the other one - i don't see a place to open it other than around the bezel. And it's a wind up, so I'm really hesitant about opening it there. Although, it looks like that's where it's been opened before.

This is where the (watch case) knife blade is inserted to separate the two halves of the case

PLEASE be careful. It is very easy for the blade to slip and scratch the case.
Hmmm........I'm forgetting something..........

Oh yeah.....now I remember! It's easy to cut yourself too.
