    Default 1961 Breitling Navitimer.

As I posted on the Rolex forum, this is my Grandfathers watch. My Grandfather used to own a flying school and the Navi was given to him as a gift for training someone to fly. He never wore it and gave it to my Mum to look after until I was old enough to wear it. I had a New NOS crystal and a movement overhaul with NOS parts done 5-6 years ago. The Dial and hands are 100% original and I have the box and manual as well...Enjoy....

    Wow Christiaan,

What an absolutely beautiful classic Navitimer you have there.

Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures. It must mean so much more to you having been passed down from your father.

It has superb character and, from what you have said, it must run like new.

May I ask: Was the Navitimer COSC rated back in 1961? I know that all of Breitlings movements are now sent to the COSC.

    Hey Christiaan,

Thanks for posting pictures of that beauty over here!!

VERY nice, and the added value of your family heritage in it, added to the Navitimers own, is just fantastic.
