Recently , I was shopping in a higher end retail store inside a mall in south Forida. I fell in love with the Oris Titanium Diver series watches.. They are truly magnificent and I will return to purchase one as soon as possible..

Wow... Tense thread! I came looking at Oris divers, and found myself smack in the middle of an Oris vs. Invicta showdown!

I do see some advantages in the Invicta. 500m water resistance vs 300m, nicer caseback design, crown guard, a chronometer grade Sellita movement, and a nicer bracelet. It is also larger and heavier with a more open dial. The watch sits up pretty high on the wrist and I don't think anyone who has a clue about watches would ever mistake it for a Rollie.:

I did have someone tell me how much they liked invicta watches once and they said "i have one just like yours at home" as they pointed to my Two Tone Submariner. I just smiled and said Yeah they are good watches.

Being the shallow person that I could not go with an Invicta for myself due to it's lack of
"Brand Cache". That would be the biggest factor for me in choosing between ORIS and Invicta Reserve collection.

Man some of you guys are so uninformed about Invicta and their new offerings. Regarding Invicta not being innovative with their designs take a look at their 2008 catalogue. The Lupah, Force Master. Reserve Speedway, Specialty Reserve, Akula, Reserve Pro Diver, Reserve Subaqua, Sea Spider, Corduba, Sea Vulture, sapphire ghost are just a few. I could go on and on so know what you are talking about before you say that Invicta copies other manufactures and only produces Rolex homages. Wilfreb has to be the least informed of everyone in this forum and yet he continues to bash Invicta not really having a clue of what he speaks. I guess to sum it up, inform yourself rather than regurgitating what other uninformed members post in the forum.

People should face the facts that Invicta copies a lot of styles of other brands. I think they look great and a great bang for the buck, but please don't argue the fact that their styles are original. The "majority" of Invicta's collection are copies.
