    My Watchbox

    Default Mystery IWC

I have a military watch marked "International Watch Company" with the British arrow symbol below it, and the circled "T" for Tritium below that. THe case is signed "International Watch Company" "Swiss", with the number "918" stamped on it, and a circular IWC logo with two more words I can't read (too small). The watch is manual wind, and the movement says: "R 2609" or "R 2509" and "19 Jewels". The escapement is gold and it runs very well.
Can anyone identify it? I think it dates from the mid-60's. Dial is black, white hands, Arabic numerals. The Tritium has worn off, but I would like to have it redone.

    Cheers,
    Zaphod

Pics would help considerably if you could post them. I'm still looking though.

Don't know if this is going to work, but here are a couple of shots (not very good ones)

Thanks. I have since found the same logo on the crown that is on the back:
The sort of "eye" shaped IWC. But rhe Rhodium or chrome that was on the crown has worn off.
Any ideas as to what this watch is?

    Cheers,
    Zaphod
