    Default New Colt II

I wanted to add a quality quartz to my small collection. After doing much research and pondering, I finally chose a Breitling Colt II Quartz. I've only had it for about a week now, but am completely satisfied.

This is a great looking watch. I tried on an older colt quartz but it looked a bit small on the wrist. How's this one for size? Depends a lot on your wrist size I guess, and you did say you're getting rid of the PO because it just looks too big. I honestly think if I wore the colt for a week I would get used to the size very easily. The layout of the dial - clear numbers, very visible hands, and not too busy, makes it my second-favourite looking Breitling (after my SO of course :))
Enjoy the great new addition to your collection.

    Muttley,
Yes, quite a bit smaller than my PO. Actually, it's a little refreshing to see a smaller dial on my wrist. The bezel accounts for it's 41mm (I think) size. It's very easy to read and the finish on the watch is impressive. One thing I like is the rider tabs are trimmed, so there's no catching on sweaters, something I don't like about many Breitlings. Accuracy is superb, to say the least. I have 4 autos, so it's nice to have a watch that I really like and don't have to mess around with, keeping it set. It's my "grab 'n' go" watch. I got the black dial; the blue looks great too; the white is nice, but not enough contrast between the dial and hands.
    Have a great day!

    That's a great piece!

Just thinking, how funny it is that Colt seems to look quite small on the wrist. And I have to say my wrist ain't big either. How I find this out is when I tried Corum's Admiral Cup 'Sincere Creation' LE, which looks loke a biggie watch but then again, it sits nicely there on my wrist, just like my Colt Auto!

However, I have to take into account that the Admiral Cup didn't have a bezel. So that's why it looks big.

Anyway, congrats on the lovely Colt. I believe you would enjoy it as much as me.

    Cheers!

Very nice addition to the family, DarkHeart. In the latest issue of WatchTime Magazine there is a letter to the editor extolling the virtues and ACCURACY of that watch. I believe that model is a COSC quartz.
