Default A Daytona visits the highest point in AZ and NM with no scratches or scrapes accrued.

Went to state highpoints #42 and #43 last week. Only 7 left to go... The Daytona made it to thehighest points in the states without getting scratched or messed up. Yeah! With all the scree (loose rock) on Boundary Peak, I'm grateful the few times I lost my balance and fell I protected the watch. A little OCD can definitely help to prolong the good looks of our Rolexes.

On the way up to Humphey's Peak in AZ wearing the Daytona:

Next Summer in June, the Daytona may attempt Oregon's highest point (Mount Hood) and in August, Utah's highest point (King's Peak)

    Steve,
I am sure you are preparing a serious conditioning regimen for your 'FL expedition" ;-)
Give us a shout when you get here.
BTW, we have a GTG here in Tampa again this fall (SAT, Oct 29th), so why don't you come
down here and cross the FL peak off your list.

"At 345 feet (105 m) above mean sea level, Britton Hill is the highest point in Florida and the lowest highpoint of any U.S. state.[19] Much of the state south of Orlando is low-lying and fairly level; however, some places, such as Clearwater, feature vistas that rise 50 to 100 feet (15 – 30 m) above the water. Much of Central and North Florida, typically 25 miles (40 km) or more away from the coastline, features rolling hills with elevations ranging from 100 to 250 feet (30 – 76 m). The highest point in peninsular Florida, Sugarloaf Mountain, is a 312-foot (95 m) peak in Lake County"

Hey, thanks for the invite. If it was around Thanksgiving time I might have been able to come as I come down each Thanksgiving to Miami for a week to see family.

And, I've already done Britton Hill. It was actually quite beautiful and peaceful. I left work at 4pm last year the Friday before Thanksgiving, made it 3/4 of the way to Mississippi's high point, the next day I did that around lunch time, then Alabama's high point the next morning, Florida's later that day, then blew down to Miami.

Here's a pic of that high point in FL with the Daytona

And Alabama's High Point the day before...

I've done everything east of SD and ND now...

Next June I may try Oregon's Mount Hood after learning how to hike up snowy peaks with an ice axe and crampons (traction devices that slip on hiking boots to be able to walk on snow and ice without slipping).

Then in July or August I hope to do Kings Peak (UT's highest point) - a 30 mile, 3 day trek. I'll be sure to take some more Rolex pics on those trips!

I have not done the ones with an asterisk... yet.
