My choice would be a TT GMT IIC.

    Dress-down: Sport, rugged, in SS.

Dress-up: Polished centre links, Ceramic bezel, in TT or full Gold
The only problem I have with the GMT IIc as a "one and only one" pick is the polished links, and all the scratches they show. A brushed link Oyster just flat out requires less maintainance to continue looking great. I'd pick a Sub or a 16710 GMT over a GMT IIc every time.

That's a point, but unless one looks pretty close, the scratches are hard to see. I agree, the wearer would know they are there though. But same could be said for brushed- if you look close, you'll see them.

And does this mean you would not have any watch with polished links on the list?

Different strokes for different folks, I say.

That's true, JJG. And no other Rolex I've ever owned (including a black 16610) has ever drawn more comments and questions than the LV. It's got such a great look.

My choice is my TT datejust. It's perfect for dress or wearing it with jeans.

    Default Finally......found one!!

Thanks to all for your thoughts. I finally found a 16610! Man these are hard to come by now with the new 116610 out in the marketplace. I am so pleased with my new addition. I agree with what John said, I personally like the flat finish on the oyster bracelet of the 16610. I am not a fan of the new polished bracelets at all. I know the new sub just has it on the clasp but I also agree that it will show wear a little more easily. The GMT II C was under consideration but then again the whole polished bracelet thing, i am just not a fan. More than pleased with my 16610 selection and this baby will be with me for a long, long time!! I really like the engraved bezel feature...looks cool. Also helps saving the extra $2k....the new Ceramic Subs are going for $7400......

I have not posted any pics on here before so I will read up on how to do that and show off my new addition to you all!! I did make the sacrifice of selling my first Rolex ever purchased to make way for the 16610. I sold a 16570. I am going to miss it BUT everytime I look down at my wrist a smile will come to my face with the new 16610!!
