This is page 1 of an opening spread for a vintage watches editorial.Note- this is a 'draft'
This is Page3- 'Oldies'. I'm still meditating on the titles so it's just a temporary one- this is a 'draft'

I was looking at an auction room catalogue the other day and I saw a watch which was virtually identical to that one. It was a 1960s Universal Geneve. It was the styling and the black/silver combination that really grabbed my attention. Can't remember the name of the auction room, but it was over here in the UK.
actually, i just tracked down the likely 'model' for the Chromatica in my research archive today. looks like a copy of a Bucherer, but you know, if i've learned anything in the past 3 months, i've learned that ALL the watch makers copy each other and borrow cues like crazy, so it's hard to know who designed what first, unless you check the patents.

Elsewhere on WTF, there was a thread on flipping watches for profit.
I responded that photography quality is the #1 criterion, full description is #2
