Default Underwater pictures from W. Palm Beach dive trip - photo intensive!

    Hey everyone,

A buddy of mine & I headed down to W. Palm Beach last weekend for a long weekend of diving. The conditions were absolutely perfect. The sun was hot, the water was warm & the beer after- ice cold.

Here's a few pictures from the trip. All pictures were taken with a Canon S90 in program mode with custom white balance and taken with available light (no strobe). And since all but the first 11 photo's were taken between 65-90' of depth, they were then given a bit of color correction (to remove the blue-cast) and brightening in PhotoShop CS5. Hope you enjoy!

First a few pictures from a shore dive we did on one of the beaches in the inlet. Was a nice shallow dive you can see lots of little creatures on.

    Octopus hiding under the wreck

And a rockfish hiding on top of the wreck

And then shots of the 'deeps'.

Not much in this shot, just a lone fish. But I love how the light 'scrolled' down the water & made it look..

And one of yours truely just chilling & cruising....

And of course a wrist shot. The Ball Worldtimer Diver at 85'..

Thanks for sharing Scott, I saw that last picture on the WRUW thread yesterday and I was hoping to see some more!

Great shots. I especially like the baby turtle. Its awesome to see an animal like the turtle so graceful in swimming and so sluggish on land!

I absolutely love mine. Though I dropped it last weekend on the parking lot, hitting it on the top corner by the flash. Now the flash won't deploy.

So it'll have to go back to Canon to be repaired. The camera still works, so I'm going to wait until after my next dive trip in a few weeks. Then I'll send it in.

    Default underwater photos

I love to shoot under water photos.. I have lots of under water photos..It is no surprise that underwater photography is a favorite pastime for scuba divers. The idea could have come from those few people that were able to experience the joys and beauty of underwater life and a desire to share that beauty with others

    Regards,

Awesome pictures Scott. Sometimes it's hard to believe such beauty lies just off our coast.
