Out of curiosity, what is the most "affordable" Patek Phillipe watch on the pre-owned market. Is there anything in the sub $10,000 range?
Thanks!
Happy Memorial Day!

I'm sure you can pick up some of the less rare references with that kind of budget.
For example, I have recently seen:
All about the $10,000 price range.
- 18ct yellow gold Patek Philippe Ellipse 3348 from 1987
- 18ct rose gold Patek Philippe Calatrava 5026R from 2004
- 18ct yellow gold Patek Philippe Gondolo 5024 from 2005
A Bi-metal Nautilus 3800/1JA was slightly higher at say $12,000.
Sometimes "price" is not a reflection of metalic value.
For example, you may well find a Steel Nautilus to be more expensive than an all gold, for the simple reason that they have the same movement in them, and Patek wanted to maximise revenue by putting those movements into gold cases.
Thus, less steel cased models were made, they are more rare and thus more valuable to the collector who will pay a higher premium.
That isn't to say I wouldn't like my Uncle's Gold Nautilus though!
Welcome to the topsy turvy world of horological economics!
All the best,
Harry
while it is not possible to single out the most "affordable" Patek Phillipe watch on the pre-owned market...I can
tell you with certainty that are several references to pick from in $7500 - $10,000 range.
In fact, I have seen some very nice examples from time-to-time even at $5000 - $7000 range.
I must add however, that anything in these price ranges discussed above will be most likely time only or time/date watch.
Still...you cannot go wrong, IMO. Just be on the 'look-out' and do your homework before pulling the trigger.
